The man, they call Bear...

The week before I broke my knee, I was lucky enough to shoot Bear Grylls for a Solo campaign through BMF. The campaign is just starting to run, which is more than I can say for me... 37 minutes of craziness followed when we shot him, but he was a pleasant chap and the ladies just love him....

Beautiful moody skies..

Mother nature is such a beautiful creature, these are some skies shot from my back garden recently, look at the face in the fourth shot down on the left side, wonderful..

Playing God...

Here is the first 2 of 3 images for Electric Art's latest campaign 'Play God'.. Justin Carew from Saatchi's Sydney came up with the concept, which was overseen by Steve Back. Flawless post from Inness Robbins, has crafted a fun quirky series, of which we're in the production for the final one. The old boy is Ken from Leichhardt Bowling Club, 90 years young and deaf as a post, but if only we're all that good at 90... Jazz mag model was partner Jono Eadie's lad Hugo...

Playmobeards..

I've been lucky to shoot some fantastic beards for my book, but these guys really took the biscuit. They sailed especially over from Norway for the shoot, got to say they were pretty quiet though, but sweet beards all the same...

For the love of beards...

Well last night my 'Facial' exhibition had it's opening night, with a healthy number of good friends in support to view my 5 year project, good to see everyone..

Facial, my 5 year hairy obsession...

So the first part of my beard series is finally hung and ready for viewing at Global Gallery, 5 Comber Street Paddington, as part of the Head On Photo Festival. My project has been on going for over 5 years and continues into next year with two more chapters before the book. The 17 prints on show are some of my personal favourites, there are many that didn't make this cut, but that's not to say they won't in the final exhibition, next year...
Lucia Fischer at Cream Studio's has painstakingly graded ALL of the series and book contents (130) to date and Steve York was kind enough to hold the gun to her head to get them done... Silverpixel in Enmore, kindly sponsored the event by doing the prints for the show. David & Helen Roche has produced some beautiful prints, which has really made the show for me.
Andy Bell from Echelon & Breathing Space, needs a big thanks for also sponsoring the event with the most important thing after the work, wine.....
