Honkers...

Travelling half way round the world with two young children can be a challenge, that's why my wife and I had a stop over in Hong Kong for a recharge..

I have been only to the airport on a few occasions, but never to the city and how epic it is..

Like the Bladerunner film set, futuristic, vast and very impressive.. I could spend a week here merely to shoot landscapes, every angle there is something to behold..

I only wish I'd had my H4D with me to shoot these city scapes, but still you can get a feel for the sheer beauty and graphic nature of the place..

If you can deal with humidity and very busy streets and you've not been, go...

Olive..

When I showed this shot of Olive to Elkie, she was rather confused and told me off for hurting her ears, with fire..

I told her it was make believe, but she still told me off again, on seeing it a second time..

I then explained that it was a phase, that someone was talking about her...

She was still unimpressed and told me off some more.

No children were hurt in the making of this image..

Elkie's not so sure of this though.

The Last Straw..

My eldest daughter Elkie, loves straws..

So I went to a party shop and bought her a box of the curly variety.

This was the last one in the box..

Boiled Eggs & Soldiers..

Firstly I hate eggs, hate them..

But I wanted to shoot this.

So here it is, my boiled eggs with soldiers.. I've been wanting to shoot this for ages, for no other reason than my own enjoyment..

10 soldiers, 7 eggs and an egg plate, not an egg cup..

I may get a good nights sleep now I've shot it..

Organic free range eggs were used in this shoot..

Anemone..

Tamiko & Matt Chee popped over last week to meet little Olive and kindly brought flowers, which happened to be Anemones, which were on my shot list that an old mate Duncan McCabe had sent me...

Sarah then nagged me (in a good way), for a week to shoot them and just before the last one turned I shot these very quickly.

Think I'll go and get another bunch and shoot some more..

So we got flowers and Matt is our new baby sitter for Olive, so win, win all round..
