Past it's sell by date..

Here are the first four images of a new series I've been working on, entitled 'Mold'. I noticed how beautiful the colours were on certain pieces of fruit and vegetables were when they turn bad. And when shot with a long lens, the effect is almost that of a satellite image of a coastline.. Or maybe I've just gone mad??

Bubbles..

Whilst opening a bottle of sparking water yesterday, I notice how beautifully graphic
the bubbles and condensation looked. So I took a few frames...

Gay Paris, the bearded members..

Not than long ago when I went to shoot The Beards in Newtown, I was lucky enough to get a 2 for 1 deal and shoot the bearded members of Sydney band 'Gay Paris'. With a mix bag of Johnny Cash lookalikes (Ol' Blacktooth Marks), American settlers from the 1860's (Slim Pickings Podmore) and the very individual lead singer WH Monks. They were a real bunch of cool cats, check out their stuff on Youtube, funny clips...

North Atlantic Fisherman's Sweet Beard... Ok he's from Sydney.

I bumped into Patrick Short on Crown Street one evening and gave him my card, whilst explaining my beard series... What seemed 70 emails later we finally got our shit together and managed to shoot his impressive beard. Sporting the wooly hat, I commented on how he looked like a cool fisherman.. A top chap and a sweet beard...

Caxtons.. 'Big Game in the Hunter'..

The Hairy Banana (Matt Smith) BWM, came to me recently with the brief for this years Caxtons Awards to shoot. Entitled 'Trophy Hunter' it was to resemble the cover of a hunting magazine such as Bacon Busters.. The idea was that the industries 'YOUNG GUNS' are hunting the 'BIG GUNS' of the Ad industry. We were lucky enough to get 'BIG GUNS' The Monkey's Justin Drape, Whybin TBWA's Dave Bowman & Matty Burton and BWM's Rocky Ranallo, who played dead for the brief, along with being tied up amongst other things. Special effects make up was superbly applied by Cherie Michelle, who really made the shots look so life like. Steve York and the forever accommodating Cream Studios team are to doing the post for the series, as these are merely the after portraits, for my amusement...
